Extremely quiet couple with middle-aged cats looking for a place to rent. Would prefer something we could take mid-month, or maybe a week before the end of a month to allow a slow move. A wee house would be our first choice, but a townhouse, duplex, or condo would work just fine as well. Looking for a neighbourhood where everyone is pretty quiet. Prefer not a basement suite, but if it's above ground and the upstairs tenants do not party, listen to loud music or tv (and same for the neighbours), then it might be okay. Balcony or patio is best, as we have a flower collection we don't want to part with! Ideally it would be a large ( 700-1000 sq ft) one bedroom, one + den, or two bedroom, and if we can keep it to under $1,200 that would be great, but will go very slightly higher for the right place (d/w, insuite laundry, other amenities). If it's an apartment/duplex/townhouse, we would want it to be a place where the other tenants are respectful in terms of noise - no loud music, parties, blasting televisions. **Absolutely must be a non-smoking building as well**. Must be cat-friendly. If parking is available that's a bonus. Being near bus routes would be really important though.
