Assistant Controller

Who we need As we continue to grow, we need to bring on board a new Assistant Controller as part of our Finance organization, comprised of three financial business units (Canada, the US, and Europe). Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Controller is a hands-on leader with a team of nine direct-reports. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skills as you manage full cycle accounting, reporting, credit and collections, A/P functions, general ledger, treasury and financial analysis. We need someone who is energetic, collaborative and innovative; someone who has strong organization and multitasking skills, pays attention to detail and can influence and motivate a team. So, how do we know you are the new Assistant Controller? You have: -The education and experience. You have a professional accounting designation CPA or CA combined with 5-7 years of accounting and management experience in the manufacturing industry; a solid understanding of Canadian GAAP and U.S. GAAP; and, familiarity with Bill 198 or Sarbanes Oxley internal controls environments.
