$849 · Similar Value with gears, 700 wheels, disk brakes

This is the ultimate Victoria play and simple utility bike. Excellent for cruising and commuting, just a challenge on steep hills for the unfit or unskilled. I do not live in Victoria anymore, and I really need gears now! OX Platinum Steel Frame, Chris King hubs and headset, Thomson stem and seatpost, original Easton Monkey Bar, etc. etc. every piece on this bike is high end, but not weight weeny. I rebuild it every 3-5 years like a vintage car. The decade old bladed blue fenders I had before finally died and these fenders and the disk brake calipers have been hand customized for the blue motif! The divetrain is mint and I have a spare chain to throw in to replace the current one (about 50% of its life left, at least). Bottles not included. To piece a bike together like this is $4000 easy, and while I get it is "obselete" and there is a bike glut, used and new, I would think there is someone out there who would love this bike and get it is a steal! Again, it is a super reliable commuter or fun cruiser for all around Vic, I have ridden it to Sooke Potholes and back a few times, so just stay out of the highlands, and is ready for the rain, with little to no maintenance required (no gears, fenders, disk brakes!). It is a 19 inch frame, one size smaller than I needed, but I wanted the sloped top tube. This bike will fit from 5'8" to 6'2" easily, with stem replacement and seatpost and seat adjustments. I will take $849 cash, and would think it merits much more than that in trade value. A friend is the broker, so if I think you are serious enough, I can connect you to meet him for a viewing. Please do not try and negotiate until you arrange to see the bike, it makes no sense. Please do not ask if it available and I am disinterested in any stories about when you might be coming to town. If you have been trained by FB Marketplace I will not put up with any of that nonsense. I do this the way it was done well before Facebook ruined all used markets, civilly, in the right order and without putting up with flakes or time wasters. Brian.
