I purchased this arrangement because I had one of those fiberglass full beam swim grids that have a built in bracket designed to mount a 2 stroke OB .not a 4 stroke . Consequently the swim grid eventually starts to sag. By using this support it keeps the grid and your OB safe. Two Stainless Steel Chains and Adjustable Support Brackets To strengthen a swim grid or hold a dingy or strengthen an OB bracket. A small price to pay to save your outboard. Reasonable offers considered.
