$75 · Sony XV-3000W Video Correction / Video Enhancer box

When capturing my familys old video tapes to digital, I found the playback had lots of noise, streaks at the top or bottom of the screen.. tearing etc. Due to differences in alignment from the original recording and playback machines or just age related issues. I put this box between the playback VCR I was using and my computer and by using its adjustment knobs was able to dial those tracking / timing errors away and get a much cleaner capture. I havent been able to find anything about this box on the internet, no manuals etc, but I played with it till it worked, it did a great job and now Im done capturing.
