This is a brand new, hand built guitar. It was made right here in my little shop on the Saanich Peninsula. It sounds great and feels really nice. The two piece alder body is perfectly matched together - the grain pattern is very cool. This body was cnc machined in Calgary by a small specialty shop, and it's absolutely period correct, including the flat spot at the input jack and the 'fullerton bump' at the upper horn -- just like the originals. I call the finish 'Washed Denim' - it's warm and comfy like a well broken-in pair of jeans. The dye job is protected with 20+ thin coats of satin nitrocellulose lacquer. This finish will age just like a vintage guitar! The maple on maple neck is fast and smooth, in a modern 'C' profile. The headstock shape is my take on the classic style headstock. The fretwork is nicely done and plays well. All the hardware and electronics are top quality and will last for years: The pickups were selected for an authentic tone. The covers are aged, and the components are true to the original pickups from the '50's and '60's - cloth push back wiring, cloth string wrap around the coils, etc. The bridge is an upgrade over the original tele style bridge -- this three saddle bridge will intonate perfectly due to the compensated saddles. This means that you get the vintage look, but also get a guitar that is in tune all the way up the neck.
