Team Associated MGT 4.6 1/8 scale monster truck. This thing is a beast! Over half a metre in length and weighs 12 lbs! The truck has been a bit of a project and while I've learned a lot my interests have shifted. The truck can run and drive around, but a bit more is needed to get it to 100%.
The truck includes:
-SH Engine P3 .28 (big block 4.6 cubic cm)
-Flysky GT2B 2.8ghz transmitter and receiver
-TowerPro MG995 steering servo
-NiMH 4xAA Rx pack, plus spare 1S LiPo pack
-Half gallon 15% nitro fuel
-Glow igniter w. charger
-Fuel filler bottle
-Upgraded metal spur gear
-Spare bearings and manifold seal
-2 packs spring pre-load clips
When I got it used, the transmission slipped and the engine blew half-burnt fuel out the head. Main things I've done:
-Disassembled, cleaned and reassembled engine, and sealed carb and back plate with liquid gasket. Plenty of resistance in the cylinder, so not worn out. It runs, but still not great.
-Disassembled transmission, rebuilt the one way bearing, and now the truck moves.
I figure there are a few options for this truck:
-Use your nitro-whisperer ways to make the engine work.
-Swap in another engine.
-Convert it to electric.
-Convert it to a slow, torque-y electric and try crawling this beast.
I would consider trades for interesting planes or quadcopter stuff.
