Im looking to get a group of local area artists, volunteers and spirited people who want to help make a difference.
The building next to the via rail station is set for being a heritage building, so it wont be demolished.
I would like this building to become a piece of public art.
The building will become a place for artists in transition, where there is space for artists of all kinds and do there work, and host art walks, and expos and demonstrations.
The place will be totally free, funded only by private donations, and local businesses who want to help. Absolutely no government funding would be needed.
Heres the challenge.
Right now we face a homeless problem in the city, where there is no place that travelers local and abroad can find where they can share there talent and make a difference.
We will be using a work for stay model, but not mandatory, the people who stay for 1 night or longer can choose and will be empowered (by example) of how to contribute to the community.
please call me anytime, and we can set a time to go over ideas on how this can be made possible.
We would like the city to actually donate this building for the cause, knowing that it is supported by people in the community, and is always open to new ideas.
(Everything in the place will all be donated)
