Do you want to work for an organziation that is dedicated to helping those in need? Looking for extra income? Than we are the organization for you. We currently have a Part time Weekend Housekeeper position open.
JOB SUMMARY
Hillside Terrace provides 45 subsidized, wheelchair accessible, one-bedroom apartments to seniors who are having difficulty fitting into regular housing situations and need a higher level of care. The Housing Program is committed to excellence in its services to clients affected by mental health and substance use problems. A high standard is essential in delivering quality safe and professional services. All staff is non-judgmental and offers support to our tenants in a respectful, non-intrusive manner.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
6-7 apartments per day
?Change bed linens and towels
?Clean tenants bathroom
?Clean tenants kitchen
?Vacuum/mop floors
?Take away garbage
?When performing some duties you may be exposed to and in contact with dust, dirt, cleaning chemicals/fumes, germs, bodily fluids and human waste.
?Program activities will require a moderate level of physical fitness i.e. walking, standing, bending, lifting to effectively carry out the duties of this position
Meal Service
?Help serve lunch and assist clean up
?Help serve supper and assist clean up
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Knowledge
?Grade 10
?Food Safe certificate
?Knowledge of sanitation processes
?WHMIS certificate
?Upon hire the successful applicant is required to provide a current (no older than six months) criminal record check.
