Victoria- Taiama School Project

People to People: the Victoria-Taiama Partnership

Currently the Victoria-Taiama partnership is supporting girls' education, maternal and child health programs, and supplying food for families affected by the Ebola crisis in Taiama, Sierra Leone. The history of the project goes back to its origins as a pen pal exchange club founded by Maureen Mark and Eric Sama in 1993 with students from their respective schools, Campus View Elementary in Victoria, B.C. and Ahmadiyya Primary School in Taiama, Sierra Leone. After completion of ten classrooms for Ahmadiyya Primary School in 2010, the Judy Smith Health Education Centre was opened in 2012. Two local schools, Ecole Marigold Elementary and Ecole Margaret Jenkins Elementary continue to have a special interest in supporting the students of their partner school in Taiama.

Proceeds from the items below will go directly to Victoria- Taiama School Project through a secure credit card payment.
